Decentralized Twitter ‘BlueSky’ Outlines Code, Content Moderation Plans for Its Platform

Twitter is working on a decentralized social media project called ‘BlueSky’. In a recent development, the Bluesky team has released its first batch of code, reinforcing its commitment to moderate the content allowed on its platform. Decentralized social media aims to move the space beyond the control of the tech giants that currently control the platforms. Blockchain-based decentralized social networking apps will operate on independently run servers, curbing the possibilities of targeted censorship.

The team revealed that the core of ADX is “self-authenticating” data, which transfers network authorization to users.

Outlining their content moderation plans, Bluesky developers noted that they will create two separate layers for ‘speech’ and ‘access’ on their platform.

The developers behind Bluesky have promised to publicly share the development process of their platform by releasing details about their work, before its completion.

In case the public response urges the team to look in another direction, the developers want to keep some buffer time handy.
