Few can tell that the iPod in all its forms actually died a quiet death a few years ago. For the past few years, sales have been steadily declining – there was only one model available. The Apple site no longer even had a dedicated tab for iPods – it’s hidden under the Music tab. For a while it was quite clear that the iPod would be killed. However, the way the iPod delivered the personal touch, no other device did. And perhaps that’s why the expected death of the iPod will also evoke a great sense of nostalgia for many years to come.
