Proser had earlier claimed that the Pixel Watch could launch only in May 2022, although the date they had predicted at the time was May 26. In one of his earlier tweets, he said: “I hear Google is planning to launch this on Thursday, May 26th – in over a year we’ve leaked this. This is the first time we’ve seen the screen. Google has been known to push dates back – but if they do, we’ll know.” This time, he has said that Google will reserve another day for the Pixel Watch.
Google Pixel Watch will come with next-generation Google Assistant and will be powered with Samsung Exynos chipset. The Nex-Gen Assistant is designed to process your speech directly on your device, rather than on Google’s servers. It’s also capable of doing things within your various apps like filtering the gallery in Google Photos via voice commands. Additional functions include being able to change phone settings when the user is completely offline.
A smartwatch these days means some basic features like heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring and SpO2 measurement. Even with the Google Pixel Watch, users are likely to get key health and fitness tracking features like step and calorie counting, heart rate monitor, and more.
