Samsung launches Galaxy XCover 6 Pro smartphone and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro tablet in the US

samsung has expanded its strong portfolio in the US with the launch of Galaxy XCover6 Pro smartphone and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro Gun Shot. According to Samsung, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro are the first devices in their respective series to support 5G wireless networks.
Both devices are built for harsh environments. They are both MIL-STD-810Hii compliant to withstand extreme altitudes, temperatures, vibrations and humidity. The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro – including its integrated S Pen – and the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

The Galaxy XCover6 Pro will be available in the US on October 20, 2022 through select carriers. At the end of the month, it will also be offered through www.samsung.com/business, www.samsung.com, Amazon Business, IT channel partners and additional carriers.
The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is available starting today in the US through www.samsung.com/business, Amazon Business and Samsung’s Tier One and Two IT channel partners. The tablet starts at $649.
Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro: Specifications and Features
The Galaxy XCover6 Pro display includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, which offers scratch and damage resistance, and can withstand drops of up to 1.5m according to Samsung.
The device flaunts a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT LCD Infinity-V display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. The smartphone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (4×2.4 GHz, 4×1.8 GHz) chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. It has 128GB of native storage which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD. It runs Android 12.
For imaging duties, there is a 50MP primary rear camera with F1.8 aperture and AF and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with F2.2 aperture. On the front is a 13MP selfie shooter with F2.2 aperture.
When it comes to connectivity, the smartphone includes 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, etc. The smartphone packs a 4050mAh (replaceable) battery and supports fast pogo charging. It comes with support for Samsung DeX and Samsung Knox.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is made with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and can tolerate drops of up to 1m or 1.2m when using the included protective cover.
The tablet flaunts a 10.1-inch WUXGA display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and 550 nits brightness.


It is powered by an octa-core (2.4Ghz/1.8Ghz) Qualcomm SM7325 chipset and comes in two RAM and storage options: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB. The device runs Android 12 OS.
For taking photos and videos, the tablet is equipped with a 13MP AF + 8MP camera setup. The device packs a 7600mAh replaceable battery. The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro also supports Dex Mode.
NFC and Mobile Knox Platform
The Galaxy XCover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro feature the Mobile Knox platform for near-field communication (NFC) and POS (Point of Sale), which will find applications in retail businesses. Whether mounted at the cash register or used as a portable point of sale, both devices can help customers with their checkout.
With Knox Capture, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro can act as “enterprise-grade” barcode scanners for real-time tracking and checking inventory, according to Samsung. They can also be used with hands-free scanning accessories for use while on a forklift.
