Venkaiah Naidu to flag off Araku special train on November 22

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will flag off the 08525 Visakhapatnam-Araku special train with Vistadome LHB coach at Visakhapatnam Railway Station at 11 am on November 22.

This inaugural train will run on open route. In the return direction, the inaugural special train 08526 Araku – Visakhapatnam will leave Araku at 3.30 pm and will reach Visakhapatnam at 6.45 pm.

This special train will stop at Simhachalam, Kottavalasa, Shrungavarpukota and Borraguhalu between Visakhapatnam and Araku.

Train no. 18551 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express will run with LHB rake with additional Vistadome coach from 23rd November and 18552 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express will run with LHB coach from 24th November. Vistadome Coaches 18551/18552 will be retrofitted up to Visakhapatnam-Kirandul-Visakhapatnam.

These pairs of trains will have 13 LHB coaches which include Vistadome Coach-2, Sleeper Class-1, General Second Class-8, Second Class Luggage-cum-Disabled-Coach-1 and Generator Motor Car-1, which can accommodate around 1,100 passengers. Huh.


Gate number 1 will be sealed one hour before security i.e. at 10 am, the visitors will have to come before 10 am or come from the VIP gate.

Apart from the Vice-Chairman, only General Manager, East Coast Railway (ECOR) and Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair will be sitting on the dais. All other dignitaries will have to sit in front of the stage in an area reserved for that purpose.

Only the Vice President will speak while other public representatives will not be allowed to speak due to the Model Code of Conduct in force.
