WhatsApp users may soon get these new filters

WhatsApp It is reportedly planning to add new search filters that will make it easier for users to find certain chats. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned platform is working to introduce advanced search filters that are currently available for business accounts on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS and desktop.
For those who are clueless, advanced filters make it easy to search for unread chats, contacts, non-contacts and groups. As per the screenshot shared in the report, once the feature is available, users will be able to see a new filter button at the top of the page. Tapping on the button will show you options that you can use to filter the chats.
To more precisely look at a particular chat, you will be able to combine filters with keyword searches. The report states that the new filter button will always appear even when you’re not searching for chats.
The company has not yet officially given any information about this feature, but hopefully we can try it with the upcoming update. In addition, WhatsApp is also planning to expand the functionality of the multi-device feature with a new companion mode.
Companion Mode will allow users to link their primary smartphone with the WhatsApp account of another smartphone. However, switching to Companion Mode will log you out of your WhatsApp account on your primary device. Since this feature is currently under development, not much details are available on how this feature is different from registering the app in another smartphone. This feature can also help users migrate from Android to iOS smartphones.
